Clipped object bounding box too big

Summary:

A clipped object (e.g. image) has a bounding box the same size as the original object, when it should only encompass the smaller, CLIPPED object.

Steps to reproduce:

Start Inkscape. Import an image. Clip the image (Object>Clip>Set clip)

What happened?

Th bounding box for the clipped object does not reduce to just surround the clipped object. The bounding box for the clipped object is the same size as it was before the object was clipped.

What should have happened?

The bounding box for the clipped object should be the same size as the clipped object, not the same size as the original object. See Youtube video for what should happen (the video shows the bounding box reducing in size, unlike in my case: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGF4FIFNYpM

Note (workaround): If I convert the clipped object to a pattern , the bounding box resizes to fit the clipped object.
