When Inkscape is installed on a windows PC, set to an RTL language, menus are aligned to the right when the language is changed to an LTR one!
Summary:
this is not a new bug. Actually it was already raised and discussed in the different forums. If Inskscape is installed on a windows PC which language and region are set to a RTL, Menu are aligned to the right when the language is changed to ,say, English! A forum in which the problem was clearly explained is as follows:
Today when I installed the latest stable version, 1.1.1, however, I noticed the problem has not been resolved yet. the workaround is to delete all language folders except "en" folder in the installation location, .\Program Files\Inkscape\share\locale.
Steps to reproduce:
- install Inkscape on a computer which its locale was set to an RTL language say: Arabic, Persian ,...
- Try to change the language to an LTR one in the Inkscape preferences, say, English.
What happened?
- The menus are aligned to the right!. The menu alignment is still set to the right side. we expect it to align to the left when the language changes to an LTR one.
What should have happened?
We expect the menu aligns to the left when the language changes to an LTR one and vise versa.
