Cut part of the path cut whole path

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• create 2 rectangles non overlaping
• select both and combine (ctrl+k)
• change to node editing tool and select one of rectangles
• ctrl+x

What happened?

-both rectangles get cut

What should have happened?

• just selected should cut
