Icons are unreadable on HiDPI displays (Text and other UI elements look fine)

Summary:

The icons of tools, alignment, etc. are rendered very small on my HiDPI display, so that I have trouble distinguishing them. The rest of the UI (Text, Buttons, Menus, ...) are correctly displayed.

Steps to reproduce:

  • open Inkscape on a HiDPI screen

What happened?

Icons too small

What should have happened?

Icons readable (I would expect about double sized icons)

It might be hard to see the problem I am facing, If you are not on a high density display. Here is a comparison between Inkscape and the "Element" Matrix Chat client (Which displays Icons correctly scaled and readable): icons2
