Markers erratically not showing up, esp. Waterfox/Firefox
The ability to attach a file is not working, so I will just have to hope someone recognises what I mean … (The search does not work either, just hands me back the original list of issues.)
There is something odd going on, where sometimes arrowheads (markers) don’t appear when an image is viewed in Waterfox Classic or Firefox. Nothing fancy, just a plain, simple line with an arrowhead on one end. Here is an example:

The sense loop and drive loop lines are missing their start markers, but all the end markers are fine. In the images below, none of the lines here have arrowheads at all:

Other browsers are not affected, yet I never had trouble with markers disappearing in the past. All my older images load just fine: it is only images that I have created in recent months (maybe Inkscape 1.1 onwards) that are struggling. There is something subtle wrong with the file content somewhere, and nothing I can see from a cursory glance of the XML, that prevents markers showing properly or at all.
I’ve tried a few things: upgraded from 1.1 to 1.1.1, removed all the markers, cleaned the document to remove all the marker definitions, saved, quit, re-opened the program to clear any errors from RAM, re-opened and re-applied the markers — nothing works. Instead, after various attempts (using new vs existing markers, applying singly or in groups, starting with the beginning or end marker) I got to a point where no markers show at all: adding markers to lines stopped doing anything at all.
I finally reduced the entire drawing to a single orange line, with different (orange) markers at each end. In Waterfox, I get no markers. In Edge (Chromy type) I get an orange line, no marker at one end, and a black marker on the other. The more I tried to fix this, the more the document degraded, despite being reduced to a single line.
Does anyone else find that the markers have gone kaputt since ca. 1.1? One image I found where the arrows are fine, is internally stamped 1.0.2.
This is all in Windows 10 64-bit, Inkscape 64-bit.
