Crash when opening file from file from file browser in macOS

Summary:

When opening a file by double clicking it in the file browser (Finder) in macOS, the Inkscape window opens but is completely unresponsive.

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape by double clicking SVG file in Finder

What happened?

Inkscape window opens and displays the SVG but is unresponsive. After closing Inkscape via the Menu (Inkscape > Quit), the splashscreen / opening dialog appears with "Load" grayed out. Upon clicking "New Document" an error message appears saying "Inkscape encountered an internal error and will close now".

When I open Inkscape by starting the app and then selecting a file to open, everything works ok.
