The grid preferences does not get applied

Steps to reproduce:

open Inkscape
Go to Edit > preferences > interface > grid
Do some modification

What happened?

The grid doesn't change

What should have happened?

Grid should change color, spacing, etc.

Inkscape Version and Operating System:

Inkscape Version: 1.1
Operating System: windows 7

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
