Undoing Combine/Object to path doesn't apply LPE correctly till path nudged

Steps to Replicate

1. Create two shapes with the pen tool set to 'B-spline path '
2. Bool union the two shapes
3. Undo union

What happened?

1. Result is that the splines are not updated , we now have straight lines
2. Moving the object restores the curves

What should have happened?

1. path shouldn't require nudging for LPEs to affect the path
