"Document Properties" tab decreases performance and makes inkscape unstable
Summary:
Hey,
first of all thank you for a great application, which helped me create appealing graphics throughout my study! I noticed Inkscape 1.1 crashing quite often and being very slow in the recent weeks. By accident I found out that this only seems to occur when the "Document property" window is open. As soon as I close it everything runs smooth like before and I don't get any crashes. As far as I can see this doesn't occur with any other windows being open (like Objects, Fill and Stroke, Export etc.)
Steps to reproduce:
- open Inkscape 1.1
- open a reasonably complex graphic
- do operations like resizing on an object and observe the performance (has to be a bit more complex than a rectangle, but the effect is noticable on fairly simple objects
- open the Document Properties tab (ctrl shift D)
- resize object again and observe decreased performance (resizing not as smooth)
What happened?
- Performance of many tasks decreases & program becomes in general slower when Document Properties is open
- Inkscape frequently crashes when Document Properties is open
