Changing "Checkerboard background" in Document Properties can't be undone due to not showing up in Undo history.

Summary:

When clicking on the "Checkerboard background" option (under 'Background') in the Document Properties, I noticed that it adds the '*' to the title bar notifying you have you modified the document, but the 'undo' button didn't light up like it should have (and yes, you can hit 'Ctrl+S' to save the change if you want to, or close Inkscape to trigger the save option that way) and the change didn't show up in the Undo History window as well.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Inkscape
  2. Open any file or start with a fresh document.
  3. Go into the "Document Properties" window.
  4. Click (or un-click) the "Checkerboard background" box under 'Background'.

What happened?

Inkscape counts it as a document modification (due to the * in the title bar), however, it can't be undone due to not showing up in the Undo History or triggering the Undo button (Ctrl+Z).

What should have happened?

Inkscape counts it as a document modification, and it shows up in the Undo History so that you may undo it if you want to.
