Offset LPE: unexpected result insetting star (to path) in 1.1.x

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• create a star with many tips (originally, I wanted to see if there was an increase in performance, but found it maybe a tad slower in 1.1.x)
• Path > Object to path (don't know if that's needed)
• Path > Path effects > + : Offset LPE
• Create an inset

What happened?

Result looks correct in 1.0.x. Result looks wrong in 1.1.x. Additionally, Force miter is deactivated by default. Activating it in 1.1.x improves results a little :)

What should have happened?

It would have been nice if it would have stayed a star.
