Dialogue Boxes are too big

Steps to reproduce:

  • set Windows display scale to 100% (the minimum) and resolution to 1920x1080 (maximum for my monitor)
  • open Inkscape
  • Edit > Preferences > Interface > Theme
  • Set Toolbox icon size, Control bar icon size & Secondary toolbar icon size to Smaller
  • snap window to right
  • open Fill and Stroke
  • resize Fill and Stroke as narrow as possible

What happened?

Despite having a 27 inch monitor, the dialogue boxes (as well as the icons) are too large for multitasking. The canvas is almost unusable. Capture

What should have happened?

Dialogue boxes as well as icons should be able to be scaled down further, perhaps there could be an input box in preferences where people can fine tune their Inkscape scale. The icons, despite being small have unnecessarily large bounding boxes, these could be made smaller.
