Crash closing document in middle of shape creation

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• switch to any of the shape tools (rect, ellipse, spiral, 3dbox, polygon)
• drag to draw a shape
• without releasing the mouse click, Ctrl+W to close the document

What happened?

• Crash
• For the ellipse, backtrace: inkscape_backtrace-close-in-middle-of-toolswitch.txt

What should have happened?

• No crash
