Convert to dashes doesn't work in inkscape-1.1-alpha_2021-01-17_65d249f-x64

Summary:

I've tried to convert a line styled with dashes to dashes in 1.1 (inkscape-1.1-alpha_2021-01-17_65d249f-x64). I've done the same yesterday with 1.0 and it worked.

Steps to reproduce:

  • open Inkscape

  • draw a solid line 001_-_Solid_Line_selected

  • style the line as dashed 002_-_Dashed_line_created

  • select extensions >> Modify Path >. Convert to Dashes 003_-_Converting_to_dashes

  • behavior is strange - it shows an empty dialog box for a few seconds... 004_-_Dialog_box_shows_empty

  • ...then it shows a message, as it is processing the dash conversion 005_-After_some_time_it_shows_a_message-_BUT

  • but in the end it's just a line with two end points. Breaking the line turns out the same object. 006_-_Just_a_single_line_with_two_nodes

  • re-styling to a solid line shows it's still as a single line. 007_-Reconverting_to_a_solid_line_shows_it_s_still_a_single_line

What happened?

Convert to dashes doesn't work (but it worked on 1.0).

What should have happened?

The line should have been converted to a path breakable in many shorter lines, one for each dash.

I've created many new files and it gives the same result, so it doesn't seem to depend on some especific file.
