All items grayed out in KDE GlobalMenu for first few minutes
Summary:
With the (Mac-style) GlobalMenu enabled in KDE Desktop, all entries in the standard drop-down menus (File, Edit etc.) are grayed out for several minutes after the program launches. Keyboard shortcuts still work. After a few minutes expected functionality starts.
Other GTK applications do not have this problem.
Steps to reproduce:
- Running KDE, add a GlobalMenu by right-clicking on the desktop, and going to
Add Panel->Application Menu Bar. - Start Inkscape.
- Access drop-down menus.
What happened?
All options are grayed out/inactive.

What should have happened?
I'd expect the menus to be accessible as soon as the interface in the window itself becomes responsive, i.e. indicating that the program has fully loaded. I would not expect background tasks initiated at start-up to interfere with menu accessibility if the toolbars, keyboard shortcuts and the rest of the interface is functioning.
