Defining shortcut keystroke command is hidden. UI needs to be obvious

The aim: User wants to define custom keystroke shortcuts for commands.
The method: Go to Edit>Preferences>Interface>keyboard shortcuts.
The problem: There is no visible way to change a shortcut. If you click, double-click, right-click on the command, nothing happens.
The trick: Double click just on the shortcut only. Even though there is no visual hint.

Requirement. Make this an obvious operation. For example:

  • Add a hint text like "Double click just on the current shortcut" or add a Tooltip text.
  • Have a double-click anywhere on the whole line. This does not conflict.
  • Have a right-click menu on the whole line to open a context menu. It's what people try.
  • Add an Edit button at the very top/bottom that becomes active when any line is selected
  • Show an entry field around the shortcut. Or make it a button.

Requirement: When clicked, the text "New accelerator" appears in the Shortcut column. The word "Accelerator" is not consistent. Maybe "New Shortcut".
Target Users: New users or any not yet power user.

No visual clue:
