Command Palette: Add "Menu/UI location/path to Search results

The Command search results should show the Menu Path of the command. E.G. Extensions > Generate from Path > Interpolate. If it's not a menu command, the location of the command be displayed.

Requirement: Display the Menu path or UI location in the command search results

Background: In Inkscape if the user searches for a command and the location in the UI is displayed they can go straight there next time. If not, they have to search for it every time! This is not ideal in a graphical environment where they need to switch from mouse to keyboard and back. Most designers are heavy mouse users anyway compared to IT trained people.

Steps:

  1. Open Inkscape 1.1-Dev (Development Version) or later
  2. Go to Menu->View->Command Palette
  3. Enter text to search
  4. See results listed directly below the text entry field

See the Blender 2.9 Command search (below) that is much better than the Gimp used as a comparison in the UX discussion. It shows:

  1. Hotkey
  2. Menu path
  3. Run the actual command
    Blender Context Menu on the result to:
  • Link to the Help for that command
  • Command to create a new Hotkey
  • Add the command to Quick Favourites
