Scatter with Follow path orientation does not follow the shape of the target object at all.

Summary:

Extensions -> Generate from Path -> Scatter.
The scattered shapes do not align according to the shape of the target object.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Open Inkscape
  • Create, load, import, paste two objects. example file
  • For both: "path -> object to path"
  • Put the target object to the lowest level
  • Select both objects.
  • Extensions -> Generate from Path -> Scatter.
  • Check "Follow path orientation"
  • Apply

What happened?

The scattered objects show up on a completely wrong spot, too far away from each other and not at the same distance of each other.

What should have happened?

The scattered objects should sit all at the same distance of each other, on top of the target object's border.
