Objects not scaling correctly when scaling horizontally or vertically.
Summary:
When scaling a box vertically or horizontally, the adjustments that were being made don't follow the cursor, and just scales the object randomly. When scaling like this, I noticed a red X floating above the shape or to the side when scaling. I think that this X is supposed to follow the cursor when scaling, but it doesn't do that. When scaling diagonally, the scaling works just fine. Also, when scaling with paths made by the bezier tool, scaling works fine as well. Also, converting the rectangle or ellipse to a path doesn't completely solve the problem.
Steps to reproduce:
- open Inkscape
- create rectangle or ellipse using the rectangles or ellipses tool
- use the select tool and use any of the vertical or horizontal scaling handles
What happened?
When trying to scale a shape or path along the horizontal or vertical axis (not diagonal), the shape will sometimes scale up when trying to scale down and vice versa, and just scales weirdly.
What should have happened?
The scaling should've followed the cursor when it moves around.

In two of these images, you can see a red x above the object I'm trying to scale. I believe this may be a part of the problem.
