Deselection of text fields with Esc does not work

Summary:

Deselection from an active text entry with the Esc key does not work.

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• use the text tool
• enter text
• press Esc on the keyboard

What happened?

Nothing. The text field remains selected and the cursor is still active. New keystrokes result in more text. So instead of selecting the Select Tool pressing the "s" key adds "s" to the text.

What should have happened?

The text field should have been deselected as described in the first paragraph of the "Text tool" section on https://inkscape.org/doc/keys.html
