Tool Controls panel height depends on selected tool in Win32 theme and Smaller button size
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Inkscape 1.0
- Go to Edit → Preferences → Interface → Theme
- Choose ‘win32’ GTK theme
- Chose ‘Smaller’ control bar icon size
- Restart Inkscape to apply the new icon sizes
- Chose a non-shape tool from the toolbox (e.g. Edit Paths), then chose a shape tool (e.g. Rectangle).
What happened?
The height of the Tool Controls panel is changed. All the layout below jumps up and down. (See the gif below.)
What should have happened?
The panel height should be the same for all tools.
Comment
Shape tools have the Fill/Stroke controls at the right side of the panel. Those controls do not fit into the ‘Smaller’ panel size.
Is it possible to place Fill and Stroke horizontally when the ‘Smaller’ size is chosen? If not, maybe, the font size and/or paddings of the Fill/Stroke controls can be reduced?
