Bend LPE unstable/unexpected behavior with transforms (e.g. rotate, flip vertically/horizontally)

Steps to reproduce:

  • create any path
  • apply the Bend path effect
  • flip horizontally (H)

What happened?

The path is flipped vertically.
Editing the path is inverted.

Additionally, paths of certain shapes shift around.

Any compositions that include Bend effects can only be transformed if grouped and break otherwise That also applies to rotations and scaling.

Inkscape Version and Operating System:
