System language is set to english. But all other "words" within the software are in numbers (look like codes).
Description:
I downloaded inkscape, installed and opened it.
What happened?
It seems that UI is in a code like language (all numbers). For instance, when I go to preferences, all I see are numbers instead of letters. The software seems to work fine otherwise.
Attempt to fix
I don't know what happened but I sent this issue on another thread: #2604 (comment 341283028) where Nathan Lee advised me:
"I haven't seen it before. In the first dropdown in your screenshot, the top option is System default (if your mac language settings are set to English, restarting should hopefully restore the issue).
I'd also suggest uninstalling inkscape completely then reinstalling to see if that's enough to resolve the issue. You can also create a new user profile and seeing if installing Inkscape also has this problem. This helps narrow down the issue."
Trying to fix, didn't work:
- As recommended, I have changed the languages by clicking on a random possible setting of the drop down pointed, and yes, It changed to french, then I managed to make it go back to english by clicking on the first choice. The menu on the top is what changes not all the other words within the software.
- Also, I uninstalled and installed it twice, and both times, same issue showed.
Here are screenshots of the software in English, in French and the about section:
Thanks! I really look forward been able to use it!
