Crash on opening font combo-box in 1.0rc1

Steps to reproduce:

• Instal 1500+ ttf fonts
• open Inkscape
• create text object
• select the text in it
• try to open the fonts combo box to choose a font

What happened?

• Whole system freeze, artifacts on display - the only solution is to reset the computer

What should have happened?

• Fonts combo opens correctly

Inkscape Version and Operating System:

• Inkscape Version: Inkscape 1.0 (947b245b96, 2020-05-01) (instaled from snap) Pango version: 1.40.14
• Operating System: Ubuntu
• Operating System version: 20.04
