Inkscape 1 rc1 Appimage not running

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape using inkscape

What happened?

The application just presents a dialog with unreadable characters and closes

Inkscape Version and Operating System:

• Inkscape Version: 1.0 rc1 (appimage)
• Operating System: Linux (Arch Linux)
• Operating System version: Kernel 5.6.4 - Gnome 3.36

Running from terminal get the following text: inkscape_appimage.txt
