Feature request: CSS Animation editor
Perhaps this is outside the scope of Inkscape. But I haven't found anyone else talking about this after a little bit searching, so I'd thought I'd start a conversation.
It's my opinion that animated SVGs are very underutilized on the web. Currently you need some special blend of programming and graphics design knowledge to pull it off well. While that may always be in the case, It'd be great if there were some tools available to help streamline the workflow a bit, said tools may also expose this feature to graphics designers who might have never thought that animating their SVGs was possible in the first place.
I'm thinking the interface for this feature would somewhat resemble flash, where the user would define keyframes, move their groups around, and then choose their transition function similar to how firefox does it.
Of course I know this is all "ideas guy" words, such a feature would be a massive undertaking. I doubt inkscape was ever designed to have moving elements in mind. Hell, there seems to be a tough enough time making the top-left 0,0.
Still, I'm interested to see what you guy's position is with a feature like this.
