Crash on spacing between baseline if text selected

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• select several lines of text by highlighting them with the mouse (see screenshot)
• click in the baseline spacing setting field

What happened?

it crashes

What should have happened?

increasing or reducing line space as it does when we simply select the text block

Inkscape Version and Operating System:

• Inkscape Version: 1.0rc1 (09960d6, 2020-04-09)
• Operating System: Linux OpenSUSE Leap 42.3
