Fill & Stroke: Blur % not remembered like Opacity %

Steps to reproduce:

draw an object (rectangle, ellipse, etc.)
in Fill and Stroke panel, set the object's Opacity and Blur to something other than default (100%, 0%)
draw another object of the same type

What happened?

The second object takes the Fill and Stroke color and the Opacity of the first object (normal behaviour) but not the Blur (resets to zero)

What should have happened?

The new object should take all Fill and Stroke settings including Blur

Inkscape Version and Operating System:

Inkscape Version: Inkscape 0.46 Devel 1st July 2007
Operating System: Windows
Operating System version: XP

Additional Information/Comments:

If Blur % was not reset to 0 when drawing new objects it would allow airbrush-like effects with the calligraphy tool. Thanks, Tim. (timattimandlizdotiddotau)
