Inkscape 1.0 Missing Latex Extension

Steps to reproduce:

If you follow these steps:

• open Inkscape
• Navigate to Extensions --> Render

You will notice the Latex option is missing.

What happened?

In the past, to ensure the Latex option was available under Extensions--> Render in the MacOS version I would edit the file

/Applications/Inkscape.app/Contents/Resources/bin/inkscape

and under PATH_OTHER I would append the path to the local latex installation was included (e.g. /Library/TeX/texbin). Then, upon restarting Inkscape, the menu option would appear. In Inkscape 1.0 beta it seems this file is missing so I can no longer add that option.

What should have happened?

There should be an option to allow this capability to be turned on, or some documentation on how to proceed with latex characters in the new version of Inkscape.
