Select all and overwrite makes text object with non-empty title field to disappear

Migrated from: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1779224

Steps to reproduce:

  • open Inkscape
  • Create a new text object (or use an existing).
  • Use Object Properties dialog box, and give the text object a title (example "page heading")
  • Select text tool, triple-click into the text object to select all.
  • When all text selected, type some text.

What happened?

Typed letters are not displayed.

To escape the dilemma of text object disappear - simply add a new line, continue to write. That leaves a newline at beginning of the text content that may be deleted.

What should have happened?

Typed letters are still displayed.
