Boolean operation on paths with very similar segments produces spurious nodes

Steps to reproduce:

• Create a circle sector using the circles and ellipses tool. Duplicate this and rotate it about the centre of the original circle to overlap the first sector (but not completely). Select both sectors and perform Path/Difference to create a new sector shape. The resulting object may have several spurious points along a circular path beyond the new sector shape.
