Text controls display only last of multiple styles
Steps to reproduce:
- open Inkscape
- type 2 words
- change first word font and font size
- select both words
What happened?
- Inkscape's font selection combo box displays the font of the second word
- Inkscape's font size combo box displays the average of the 2 font sizes
What should have happened?
In case of multiple values in the selection the boxes should be left empty. This indicates to the user that there is no single value, and lets her change it to either value.
- Font combo box displays the font of the second word, and if I try to set it again to the same font nothing changes (even though the first word is in a different font).
- Font size dropdown at least applies the value when the input is activated (by pressing enter), but displaying the average font size is really confusing.
The same issue applies to the other font controls (letter and word spacing, x,y kerning), where the average value is displayed.
The correct behavior is observed in LibreOffice Writer for example.
