Search not working in "New from Template" window

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape on Mac
• keystrokes - Option, Command, N
• New from Template window opens
• Start typing in Search box
• ...

What happened?

When typing started, template list disappears and nothing is returned in the search even when entry is letter-for-letter the same as template name being searched for.

What should have happened?

possible template document choices should have appeared as typing continued with non-matching entries dropping off the list....

Inkscape Version and Operating System:
