Node tool: Selected node unexpectedly jumps to remote location when dragged, path segment shows ghost behavior
Summary:
When editing a path with the Nodes tool, the selected node suddenly jumps to the other side of the canvas, as if attracted to an unintended snapping point. However, there are no snapping points in that location, and this behavior occurs on all documents.
Since this problem, sometime Inskape close suddently
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Inkscape.
- Select the Pencil tool (Draw Bezier curves and straight lines).
- Draw a path on an empty document.
- Select the Node tool (Edit paths by nodes). (at this point Incskape close suddently)
- Adjust the node locations to correct the path.
What happened?
When attempting to adjust the node, it is unresponsive or does not move to the desired location. (sometime, I jus't cant drag the node and inkscape just show messge and closesuddently) Upon releasing the click, the node suddenly jumps to the other side of the canvas. Furthermore, when I move the mouse over the path segment, it reacts as if the click is still held down and moves to 'avoid' the cursor. This last described movement occurs along the affected path segment, not at the location of the node that jumped
What should have happened?
The node should move precisely when dragged by the mouse and be released at the location where the mouse button is let go, allowing the path to smoothly adjust and curve between nodes.
