Opening or importing raster/bitmap image (png or jpg) gives document the wrong size

Summary:

Opening or importing raster/bitmap image (png or jpg) gives document the wrong size. I made 128x128 pixels image files and I was not able to have this 128x128 pixels in Inkscape, even if I tried a lot of ways with the DPI, default DPI, DPI from file, change default DPI. I had always a 170.667 px size.

Steps to reproduce:

  • open a 128x128 pixels bmp file with Inkscape
  • the document has 170.667 x 170.667 pixels size

What happened?

  • the document has 170.667 x 170.667 pixels size

What should have happened?

  • the document has 120 x 120 pixels size
