Multi selecion in layers with shift does not work

Steps to reproduce:
- open Inkscape
- open layes
- add 5 objects
- in layers clcik on frist one
- hold shift
- clcik on last one
What happened?
- nothing was added to selecion
What should have happened?
- all objects inbetwen should be selected
