Text Tool + Open Text no entering/editing 1.5-dev Win10

On Inkscape 1.5-dev from run from Win ZIP I have a strange issue with Text entering or editing: it seems as soon as I select Text Tool or Open Text I can not enter or edit text in the document WYSIWYG GUI.

It seems the Software only reacts to the keyboard like for Software keyboard shortcuts but no input is entered.

The only working editing is in the "Text and Font" tab > "Text" subtab when I edit there and click "Apply" on the bottom.
