On canvas right click context menu has unnecessary animations

Summary:

I am on debian and I am using inkscape from flatpak. I got 1.4 release. And one of the changes is animated right click context menus. It is really distracting and adds up time compared to how right click context menu was instant in earlier versions. This particularly gets cumbersome and annoying when the right click context menu has submenus. now we have to click to get to the submenu and the main menu dissapaers to be replaced by the submenu. Then the user has to move mouse around to get to the submenu.

Steps to reproduce:

  • open Inkscape
  • Right click on the canvas to access the context menu. It would be better if you have a shape and right click on that

What happened?

There is unnecessary animation when accessing the right click context menu

What should have happened?

Right click context menu should work as it worked earlier
