1.0beta1 macOS: Sticky contextual menu does not disappear
Steps to reproduce:
- open an svg drawing Inkscape
- select any object
- right click on the selected object to open the contextual edit menu
- without choosing any action from the contextual edit menu, go to the main "Edit" menu and select any action (in my case "Paste size")
What happened?
The contextual menu grays out when performing the edit operation from the main menu and then it remains stuck on the GUI. The only way to remove it is either saving the file or quitting Inkscape. The sticky menu covers the drawing area making the underlying objects not accessible (also the selection rectangle is "blocked" by the menu dialog) - see screenshot attached
What should have happened?
The operation from the main Edit menu should have overridden the contextual menu (I would have expected it to close once a different action was selected from the main menu) or at least there should be a way to close a "sticky" or "inactive" contextual menu
