1.4beta 2 - MacOS - launching Inkscape via "Finder" "Open With" on a svg file opens also a new document
Summary:
This happens only if "Show this every time" of the start-up dialog (quick setup) is unticked.
When is ticked this problem is NOT present (meanwhile we can see shortly the "new document" window appear and disappear before the selected svg appear)
Launching the application via the pop-up menu of Finder (MacOS default file explorer) using the "Open With" menu, open the selected file but also an extra "new document" window.
I did a reset of Inkscape/Settings/System/User preferences - Reset Preferences and repeated all the steps to exclude missconfig between the v1.3.2 I normally use and this v1.4.0beta2.
Steps to reproduce:
1- Open Finder
2- locate an svg file
3 - select the file
4 - right click on it, to open the pop-up menu
5 - select "Open With" then Inkscape
the "new document" is open behind the selected svg file, it is hidden by it, you need to move the window at the front to make it visible
What happened?
Inkscape is launched opening the selected file but also an extra "new document" window
What should have happened?
Normally only the selected file should be open.
Sample attachments:
in the left down corner the "Show this every time" unticked
at the bottom the Finder pop-up menu to launch via "Open With" and at the top the "New Document 1" window visible after moving Oscilloscope_1.svg
