Feature request: direction of selection to determine objects inside or objects touched
Summary:
Many CAD-type programs use a convention for rubber-band selecting objects with the mouse, where selecting from top left to bottom right direction selects objects that are fully enclosed by the selection bounding box (current behavior). But if you select from bottom right to top left, the selection mode changes to select everything your bounding box intersects with, regardless of whether you fully enclose the object.
This is very useful when you have a lot of intersecting and overlapping objects, or are working zoomed in, and wish to select only specific ones.
This alternative mode of selection would also be consistent with other software packages (FreeCAD for example, LightBurn (laser cutting) and some others).
