Pen tool's Shape option only work while drawing. Not after.

Summary:

In the manual that is accessible from your site it is explained that one can change the "Shape" (Triangle in/out ellipse etc..) of a Path when it is selected. But I could not change it this way. Shape only applies to a path when it is selected while drawing the path.

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• open a drawing...
• Draw a path with the Pen Tool when Shape field is set to None.
• Try to give it a Shape. It does not work.

What happened?

The path only accepts a Shape option when it is preselected before drawing with the Pen Tool.

What should have happened?

The path should accept and apply the newly selected Shape.
