Object shouldn't snap to same place when I drag it away from snapping point
Steps to replicate
- Move an object while snapping is enabled
- Object snaps to position during the drag
- Continue dragging object away from snap point
- Object continues to snap to that point.
What should have happened
- If I am moving away from the snap point, and have already snapped to it, don't snap again during the same action/drag event.
Below is the original description, which describes the user's experience with this issue. The feature they brought up is being tracked elsewhere, so I've updated the description to focus on the remaining issue.
Original description
hi, i've been using inkscape for 6 months now, that was not very pleasant experience, especially the part where i need to align an object. i have to press the align button every time, in illustrator, and many other vector program/services (like vectr, gravit, ect), i don't need to do that, because as i move an object there's a guide that tells me my object is aligned to the other object, potentially to another object i want to align (and distribute) to. so i don't need to click align menu on the side of the screen.also, current snapping tools is not really working well, for example, it snaps my object again when i tell it no by moving away my object from snapping point
so, is there someone working on this feature? i ask because it's an important feature for vector editing program, i do a lot of layouting with this program. and this feature will save my time alot... thanks...
