Unable to export images on Ubuntu, plus the snapcraft package has not been updated to version 1.3.2

Summary:

When I try to open the menu for exporting images, it's not possible to select the destination Filename for the exported image, because it doesn't respond by opening the file selection window, as you would normally expect. If I click "Export" anyway, it just says "Please enter a filename", but again that's not possible because when I click on the Filename button it doesn't do anything.

I tried checking the website to see if this might be an issue fixed by an update and I found that the latest version of Inkscape is 1.3.2, whereas I have 1.3.1. I checked on snapcraft.io (because I installed it via snap), and found that it's also stuck on version 1.3.1, so I can't even update my version of Inkscape (though I don't know if that would fix the above issue. So I think that's just another issue that needs to be addressed.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Open Inkscape
  • Open a document
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + E (or go to File > Export)
  • Press Filename and Export

What happened?

It's not possible to enter the filename to export the image

What should have happened?

It should have allowed me to select the filename and then export an image
