Crash when I choose a "Seamless Pattern" template (1.2.x)

Summary:

Inkscape crash when I choose the "Seamless Pattern" template.

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• click "New Document"
• click "File" in menu
• click "New From Template..."
• choose "Seamless Pattern..." and click "Create from template" button

What happened?

• Then I get a message box with no title, the main text: "Inkscape encountered an internal error and will close now." and the button "Close".
• When I click (the only button) "Close", the program shuts down.

What should have happened?

Opened Inkscape with the Seamless Pattern template
