Create Typography Canvas fails to show guides (created outside sodipodi:namedview)

In both cases show guides is on, when I click on Extension>Create_Typography_Canvas then the page size changes but no guides are shown and inside the saved svg file the guides tags are created. But File>New_From_Template_Typography creates and shows correctly the guides.

Here are two empty files the first created by Extension>Create_Typography_Canvas and the second by File>New_From_Template_Typography, both show inside the SVGs files that showguides="true" with guides tags created but Inkscape fails to show guides for the first document.
