Improve landing page

I would like to suggest 3 changes:

I believe all searches should be only one click away.

  1. As so, in the landing page, why not make the main search button to display results from multiple sections (where the results would present the user not only with web results but also with images or news or...)? In another words: it would be a "Global" search because the user didn't specify the type of search he intended (type he can already specify afterwards, on the results page)

  2. In this same line of thought, in the same landing page, if instead of pressing the main search button the user presses one of the other buttons (web, images, news, etc) it would immediately perform the search in that section (e.g.: if we type the search and then press images, instead of just "activating" the images search, it would immediately search for images, making the search for images a "one-click-search").

I think this is where all other search engines fail (being DuckDuckGo the closest to accomplish this)

  1. Also... I think the landing page is too cluttered. Why not hide everything leaving only 4 elements: the logo and name (naturally); the search box with the main search button (either the Go Arrow or the Magnifier); the search sections (web, images, news, etc); and a menu button on the top-right corner that, once pressed, would reveal all the other elements that are currently on the landing page?

Please, don't take it bad, these are just a few ideas ;)
