Group multiple images

Right now, all images in a post are shown one after the other. To conserve space, it would be great if images are grouped like they are on mastodon itself. For two, show them side by side. For three, show the first in the left column, the other two stacked on the right. For four, show in a two by two grid.

Maybe option to hide more than four pictures?
