PHP 7.2.5 breaks DPL3

With PHP 7.2.5 releasing the breaking changes to the count() function, are there currently any plans to update DPL3 to accommodate this? I set up a test wiki with DPL3 and PHP 7.2.5, many DPL scripts are broken because of this.
