Question: What does "a17y" mean?

I just started looking into this tool and had one minor question while going through the predefined presets documentation: why is the preset html-validate:a17y so named? In the context of accessibility, I often see the numeronym "a11y" as a similar term, but not "a17y", and a quick googling didn't give me any clues.
